Second Meeting of the UN-GGCE International Advisory Committee and the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the UN-GGIM Subcommittee on Geodesy.

From March 18-21, the UN-GGCE convened the Second Meeting of the UN-GGCE International Advisory Committee and the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the UN-GGIM Subcommittee on Geodesy. The meetings included a workshop to discuss the findings in the Draft Global Geodesy Needs Assessment. In these meetings, Europe was well represented. The representatives agreed to continue the focus on supporting the Global Geodetic Centre of Excellence (GGCE) in completing their Work Plan. In the coming months, the GGCE will publish for review and consultation the draft of the 1st Joint Development Plan for Global Geodesy. Through the Geodetic Reference Frames Europe network of geodesists, input from a European perspective will be provided.
