Tenth Plenary Meeting UN-GGIM: Europe

The Tenth Plenary Meeting of the European Region of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM: Europe) will be held from 22 – 23 November 2023 in Brussels, Belgium.

The meeting, which is being hosted by Eurostat, will take place at the The Berlaymont, Brussels Belgium.  The meeting will commence at 9:00 on Wednesday 22 November and end at 15:30 the following day. An official dinner is being hosted by the National Geographic Institute of Belgium on the evening of the first day.

The Tenth Plenary Meeting of UN-GGIM: Europe will once again bring together senior executives from national geospatial information and statistical authorities within Member States and international geospatial experts from across the region. It will include presentations on global and regional issues and items, together with an overview of the work being carried out by UN-GGIM: Europe.

Venue information:

The plenary meeting will be held at The Berlaymont building which is located on the Robert Schuman Roundabout at 200, rue de la Loi/Wetstraat, Bruxelles. The closest metro stop is Schuman on metro lines 1 and 5. The Berlaymont is a European Commission building and you have to show your identification document to access the building. Details of your identification document are required to register for the event.

The UN-GGIM: Europe Dinner the evening of the 22 November will be held at Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History Parc du Cinquantenaire, 1000 Bruxelles. The closest metro stop is Merode on metro lines 1 and 5.
