UN-GGIM: Europe Fourth Plenary Meeting
UN-GGIM: Europe’s Fourth Plenary supported by the European Commission – Eurostat was held on 7-8 June in Brussles Belgium. We’ve heard some fascinating presentations on a wide range of geospatial subjects – from geographical names, to the UN SDGs, and from spatial data infrastructures to the global data ecosystem.
Delegates heard that this is a special moment for the geospatial and statistical communities thanks to the momentum created by the 2030 Development agenda, the Census rounds 2020 and an increased need for high resolution geospatial data.
If you are interested in the presentations, including keynotes from Mariana Kotzeva, Eurostat Acting Director-General and Walter Radermacher, Sapienza Università Di Roma, these are available here.
