Vanessa Lawrence honoured for her contribution to UN-GGIM

Dr Vanessa Lawrence CB, inaugural Co-Chair of the Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management, was honoured for her contribution to the Committee.

Stepping down as Co-Chair at the Fifth Session of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM) held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York in August 2015, Dr Lawrence was publicly recognised for her leadership and dedication to promoting, shaping and guiding UN-GGIM since its establishment by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations in 2011.

Wu Hongbo, Under-Secretary-General in the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, presented Dr Lawrence with a certificate in appreciation and recognition of her role in the development of UN-GGIM.
