Seventh Plenary Meeting of UN-GGIM: Europe (Webinar)
The Seventh Plenary Meeting of the European Region of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM: Europe) will beheld on the 22 – 23 June 2020.
The original intention was for the Seventh Plenary Meeting of UN-GGIM: Europe to be held in Geneva at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). The Plenary Meeting would have overlapped with the 2020 Plenary Session of the Conference of European Statisticians. However, due to travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic the Seventh Plenary Meeting of UN-GGIM: Europe will now be organised as a Virtual Plenary Meeting.
The Virtual Plenary Meeting will be split into two sessions of two and half hours each. They will be held on the same day, in the morning (9:30 – 12:00) and the afternoon (14:00-16:30) of Monday the 22 June 2020.
The second day will be a common session between the UN-GGIM: Europe and the Conference of European Statisticians and will be held as an early afternoon webinar session of two and a half hours on Tuesday the 23 June 2020 (12:00-14:30). All times indicated at Central European Summer Time.
The Seventh Plenary Meeting of UN-GGIM: Europe will once again bring together senior executives from national geospatial information and statistical authorities within Member States and international geospatial experts from across the region. An opportunity of having a virtual event is that it offers the possibility of more Member States to participate.
